Bismuth ferrite (BiFeO3) is a lead free multiferroic, shows both ferroelectric and
ferromagnetic properties in single phase a room temperature and has various applications like sensors, actuators, non-volatile memory storage devices etc. In this work, Cu and Ti co-doped bismuth ferrite was prepared via Solid State Mix Oxide Method. Room temperature XRD indexed to the BFO rhombohedral cell with the peak shift towards low diffraction angle representing increase in lattice parameter. Increase in density and decrease in grain size by increasing Cu contents was observed by SEM analysis. The different chemical bonds present
in the Ti and Cu doped samples has been identified and confirmed through Fourier Transform Infrared spectroscopy. The complex impedance and modulus have been studied as function of frequency from 100Hz- 1MHz at temperature ranging from room temperature to 250℃ using LCR. The CIS data reveals that magnitude of impedance decreases with rise of temperature and frequency showing NTCR behaviour. |
